Course Syllabus

Sunset above Crystal - Grand Canyon

Welcome to Geo 101

The assignment table below contains all the due dates for the course. Throughout the course, you will be engaged in peer interactions on discussion boards and peer reviews, collaborative work in groups, watching videos, writing, and completing quizzes. The variety of activities should provide you with a wide range of opportunities for learning. Are you excited? :).

Use the discussion on course questions if you need explanation of any of the course assignments or activities.

A note on working with others: In this course, you will notice group assignments for a semester project. You can find your group in the Courses tab on the top of the page or by selecting People on the left side course navigation. These working groups will allow you opportunities to work with a variety of people, and will help establish a final semester project. You are expected to work collaboratively within these structures. I have randomly assigned group participants and will monitor your private communication. Feel free to leverage Group discussions, collaborations or conferences.

Click the Modules button on the left menu of the Home button to get started. Remember, the syllabus is also available on the Canvas mobile applications. You can view videos of how to access the mobile application from an iPhone, Android or iPad in the Canvas User Guides.
