Hi Class. Australia is a enormous country with only 24 million people in it. It has 3 levels of government:
- Local government, consisting of the City council, Mayor, etc
- State Government, consisting of the Legislative Council (upper house), the Legislative Assembly (lower house), State Ministers and Premier plus State Governor, who represents the British Monarch
- Federal Government, consisting of the House of Representatives (lower house), senate (upper house), Federal Ministers and Prime Minister plus Governor of Australia who represents the British Monarch
Compare the Australia of 1901 with today's Australia, with particular reference to:
- Infrastructure
- Communications technology
- Medical standards
- Educational standards
- Legislation
